Data transparency
Know exactly what the feed means.
WhaleTag separates verified facts from interpretation and reports scan depth instead of claiming complete market coverage.Global activity feed
WhaleTag requests sales, listings, offers, transfers, and mints from OpenSea. Market records are cursor-paginated up to three pages; movement records use a separate bounded scan. The interface reports the pages and records actually returned.
A scan is a recent market window, not a permanent copy of every OpenSea event. A high-value event can only appear after it reaches WhaleTag through a successful scan.
Sweeps and wallets
Events sharing the same transaction, collection, and receiving wallet are grouped as a sweep. Wallet addresses remain copyable in full; shortened addresses are display labels only.
Prices and periods
Marketplace payment quantities are normalized using the token decimals reported by OpenSea. ETH values are shown directly for ETH and WETH. USD display uses an API-reported USD amount or a current conversion; if neither is reliable, WhaleTag says “Unavailable.” Collection 1D, 7D, and 30D figures are displayed from the provider’s matching period fields and are never extrapolated from the live feed.
MonkeyHood identity
MonkeyHood is the featured Robinhood Chain collection at contract 0x6581b6fa83e714956935cd1e16ac8f6f5c44c484. OpenSea collection data is accepted only when its collection metadata matches that verified contract. CoinGecko and Robinhood Chain Blockscout provide independent market and transfer fallbacks.
Transfers are not sales
An unpriced Robinhood Chain transfer is labeled “Transferred” or “On-chain.” Transfers to the zero address are excluded from receiving-wallet rankings, while transfers from the zero address are treated as mints. WhaleTag does not call a movement a purchase, sale, or paid whale move unless a verified marketplace price is present.
Whale intelligence
“Whale” is a visitor-defined ETH-equivalent threshold. Cross-chain rankings include a priced record only when its currency can be converted reliably; the raw activity feed can still show a provider-native value when conversion is unavailable. Every verified sale contributes to both its buyer and its seller; collection direction compares unique-side activity and treats listings as explicit distribution actions. Rankings are deterministic summaries of the currently loaded records, not predictions or financial advice.
Wallet and collection profiles
Wallet holdings, activity, portfolio values, P&L, collection statistics, and holder concentration are requested only when a visitor searches. Whale-holder counts and first-time-holder claims remain unavailable unless a complete indexed history can prove them.
